 MASSAGE THERAPY CEU'S

This class will focus on the 7 main energy centers within the spirit body. We will define charkas, as well as what it means for these spinning vortexes to be balanced/open or blocked.  We will learn how these blockages/deficiencies manifest physically and emotionally and are the core of many dis-eases and dis-orders showing up in the form of issues with the skin as well as the body.  This 3 hour class is open to all Estheticians and Massage Therapists.

The effects of stress can be experienced all over the body and throughout the body’s systems. Symptoms of stress may include skin sensitivity, breakouts, premature aging, tight aching muscles, muscle/nerve spasms, fatigue, sluggish lymph system etc. Stress has been proven to significantly increase free radical activity, which has been known to wreak havoc on all body systems including but not limited to the Integumentary system and the Musculoskeletal system.

Meditation has proven to be an extremely beneficial form of stress reduction that also helps to gain a mind/body/spirit connection. This 3 hr class will focus on meditation types, techniques, tools and overall health benefits. We will also practice  a  30 minute guided meditation. Indian Head Massage for Chair & Table

Based on the ancient Indian healing system of Ayurveda, this technique has been practiced for over a thousand years. The massage is calming yet revitalizing, and focuses on the parts of the body most prone to tension and stress: the upper back, neck, shoulders, face and scalp.  This technique is delivered with the client fully clothed using a chair or as part of a complete  bodywork session using a table. Students will learn pressure points, tension relieving strokes for the head and neck and how to deliver the technique with or without oil.

Indian Head Massage encourages relaxation and the benefits to the client are many, including relief of eyestrain and headaches, promotion of hair and scalp health, improved concentration, increased circulation and reduced stress. The instructor includes organic Ayurvedic herbal scalp oil from Solavedi. A blissful technique your clients will love!
